South end of Events Centre

The much-loathed Queens Wharf Events Centre is set to be remodelled. This is currently expected to include a connection from the southern end across Jervois Quay to the carpark on the corner of Willeston and Victoria streets. In the past there have been suggestions of intriguing plans such as an "inhabited bridge" and public plaza, though there's no official plan yet. The design for this, and associated changes to Frank Kitts Park, will be progressed during the 2006/07 financial year with construction possibly starting in 2008/09.
