COASTLANDS INDEED! Kia ora, I have just visited your site for the first time and horrified to find that the place that my family and hapu (Ngai Taiwhakaea, Ngati Hikakino and Ngai Te Rangihouhiri) have always known as PAROA is now referred to as 'Coastlands'. I do not believe we, the residents of Paroa were ever asked or consulted about a 'name-change'. This area known as PAROA is all that is left of the lands that were 'stolen' from our tipuna in the 1800's - What a B%**&@ traversty!!!!! Coastlands was the name given to a sub-division located in the Piripai area east of Paroa. Please, pass on my disappointment and disgust to those responsible!
