Museum of Wellington City and Sea

Housed in a significant heritage building, the Museum tells the Capital's stories of both sea and land, complementing Te Papa's stories of the Nation. The restored Historic Places Trust Category One building, originally an 1892 Bond Store (customs house), is as historic as the stories it holds. Traditional museum techniques combine with holographic special effects, re-creations, interactive exhibits, and a giant cinema screen to take visitors on a journey through Wellington's past, present and future.
