Coming to a new city and being shown around by a local can be one of life’s true pleasures. Come over to my house, come over and play indeed! Sometimes the best things in life are free. You know when they say, “you can’t beat Wellington on a good day”, well I think it should be amended to “you can’t beat Wellington on a good day up a big-arsed tree” because nothing beats climbing a tree for good clean fun. One Wellingtonista can mark her conversion from Aucklander to wannabe Wellingtonian to one fine afternoon up a tree with a beer, a German tourist and a local who knew how to showcase the charms of Wellington.
