Swing South (www.swingsouth.co.nz) is a dance club in Christchurch that teaches an up and coming partner dance called West Coast Swing.
West Coast Swing (WCS) is a modern form of partner dancing that can be danced to TOP40 music, Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop, Blues, Swing, Acoustic, Soul, and much more!
It is a very adaptable dance style known for it's smoothness and it's characteristic elastic look and feel.
WCS was developed in America from Lindy Hop is now the official state dance of California. West Coast Swing has a massive following in the US and is rapidly increasing in popularity in New Zealand and Australia.
Type in the phrase "West Coast Swing" on YouTube and you'll be presented with a myriad of videos of people dancing WCS (mainly in America).
