South Island Connections

South Island Connections operate daily return shuttle bus services between Dunedin and Christchurch.

Dunedin to Christchurch shuttle bus (daily return service)
While 1.00 am is not the most desirable time to catch a shuttle bus, our service from the Information Centre in the Octagon in Dunedin arrives in Christchurch at approximately 6.00 am

*via the Christchurch Airport, in time for early morning internal flights to New Zealand destinations and some flights overseas from New Zealand (an extra cost is involved)
*and/or via the Christchurch Railway Station, also in time for trains departing at 7.30 am and 9.00 am for other South Island destinations. The shuttle bus service has pick-up points along the way for passengers from Oamaru, Timaru, Ashburton and smaller townships in between.

The return journey from Christchurch to Dunedin departs at 7.00 pm from the centre of the city, with passengers at the Airport being asked to wait outside the Domestic Terminal entrance at 7.15 pm for pickup shortly after. Arrival in Dunedin is again in the Octagon at approximately 12.00 midnight.

Ashburton to Christchurch - Door to Door Service (Monday to Saturday)

South Island Connections operate a door-to door shuttle bus service from Ashburton to Christchurch in the morning and from Christchurch to Ashburton in the afternoons. The shuttle bus service operates 6 days a week, from Monday to Saturday.

Pickup from the Airport is approximately 15 minutes after the departure time from the City for confirmed passengers only.
