Description
Wellington's newest museum tells the story of one of the city's most visited attractions, the cable car system, which started service in 1902. The museum is housed in the historic Winding house and has on display a cable car and trailer, photographs film and the machinery, which originally operated the system. The museum has a small shop, which sells models, books, videos and souvenirs. Entry: FREE Opening Hours: Summer - 9.30 am to 5.30 pm (Labour Weekend to Easter Monday) Winter - 9.30 am to 5pm http://www.cablecarmuseum.co.nz/
