Description
You will be welcomed into the private studios of a family of renowned Maori artists, just 20 minutes from Wellington City. Discover a treasured Maori art tradition that spans three centuries and enjoy hands-on activities, demonstrations, exhibits and video. Tours run every weekday and there is a free minibus from the Wellington Visitor Centre departing Mon-Fri at 9:30am, 12noon and 2pm. Link to the website for full tour details and costs. The Galleria Café offers delicious food and espresso surrounded by artworks. Authentic, quality Maori art and crafts are for sale in the Gallery Gift Store.
