Description
The Buller River is named after Charles Buller who was a colonist in the 1980s. It covers 169kms from Lake Rotoiti in Nelson Lakes National Park to the Tasman Sea at Westport. The gorge on the Buller is located between Murchison and Westport. The photos are of the Buller River and Hawkes Crag. Hawkes is a rock overhang about halfway between Westport and Murchison that reduces the road to one lane
