The attached photo shows Thomas Wooster & family at "the bush" Waipawa I suggest late 1880's early 1890's, the second photo is of the family and appears to have been taken immediately after Thomas's death in 1910. Does any have information on this family or house which I believe may have been one of the first parcels in the area Ray Wooster, Brisbane

WAIPAWA - WOOSTER'S Greetings from Brisbane Australia, I've not visited Waipawa, but have routes there since the 1860's. My family orignially from Bermondsey London, arrived in Waipawa in the 1860's, Thomas, Charles and Samuel Wooster.Thomas & Charles had served with the 2nd Waiakato Militia. Thomas remained and settled in Waipawa, he as is his children are buried there. His brothers including my GG grandfather Charles, settled in Nabiac NSW, where my grandfather still resides Thomas's wife Mary Beatrice Wooster was the first title holder of land registered in Waipawa. I have been researching my family history for about 3 years and have data dating from the 1400's with over 2500 names. If you know a Kiwi Wooster or others interested in their ancestory, or have information. please contact me Regards Ray Wooster wooster@bigpond.net.au
