Hikurangi is good on a hot day, they have an awesome swimming hole also known as Waro Lake. High rock faces that you are able to jump off and also a kayaking area. The negative side is... Its close to the rubbish dump and there is never a shortaged of people there if you like quiet time

if it is raining on a saturday that would be the best time to go there. unless you like walking into thousands of rude ass people then yeah, but anyway, All the shops are the same, nothing exciting,
